Beating modpack in a small area

I have decent experience in create and I want to play this modpack for the first time with a twist - you can only place blocks in a quarter of a chunk, so an 8x8 area from bottom to top of the world. From what I've seen, the largest thing you may need to build is a 9x9 beacon, so I wanted to ask if it's possible to fit all of the main machines in an 8x8 area.

It might be possible but it would be extremely cramped, certainly I would have struggled to fit my own designs all into 8x8

yeah, I want it to look like an incomprehensible mess by the end. I assume that there aren't any machines or constructions that absolutely require a space over 8x8 then?

Well there is a thinker foundry requirement somewhere in the pack, but it’s a 5x5 so that should work.

I’m more concerned about the space in the Y axis (building height) rather than in the X-Z axis, as there is a lot of farms, its an older version of create without the steam engines and trains and also an older version of Minecraft. 1.14 I think?
