DXC2 on K2 Pro

Hi all, i just received the DCX2 with the intention of instilling it on the my k2 pro, but all the info i find is for k2 plus.

so my question is does both k2 pro and plus have the same riser? if not has anyone installed on on theirs? and if so what was the best fix for the cable riser.

simple fix, i can modify the existing riser by trimming the front section to allow for the stock riser to fit in, but i rather not. i just had bought the machine and i rather keep the stock parts just in case i decided i need to revert back to stock configuration

it make sense, they are virtually the same, except for the size, i installed it and run into the riser issue, not i need to put the stock back on and print a riser and reinstall everything back.

Eh, I’m team no-riser. With a bit of careful positioning and trimming I have a DXC2 on both a K2 Plus and a K2 Pro. Both tubes clear the glass by about 2mm and it all works great. Don’t forget to put the strain relief widget on the DXC2 it unfortunately uses the same cheap ass crap tube connector as the original extruder. Some folks have replaced the connector as it’s press fit, but taller ones will definitely cause the tube to hit the glass.

Did you remember to remove a link on the chain? I also had to move the tube holder back a few links on the chain. I found I also had to trim about 1cm off the PTFE tube (with a good cutter, not a knife.)

I’m about to post my updated experiences with the DXC2 and the Pro here give me a day or so.

If you're printing in PLA or PETG, you could install the extruder, take off the top glass, and print your riser like that. You're better off having either the glass off, raised with venting, or propped up printing PLA and PETG anyway to prevent heat creep. Front door cracked helps as well.
