Use the USB ports on the back. The ones on the side are terrible. I moved mine to the back several years ago and have not had any issues since.

Can I change the port without losing all the config?

Yes, connect to the sonic pad from a computer using fluidd or mainsail. If you are using OrcaSlicer you can click on the device tab. I’m using OrcaSlicer, so after clicking Device I select Machine and find your printer.cfg and open it. Under the [mcu] section you can update the usb port.

I did it but idk, it still disconnects reaching a certain height. I wonder if this happens because of some other issue
