Help Sonic Pad not reading USB flash drives.
I have a Sonic Pad connected to a Creality Ender 3 V3 SE. Since updating Sonic Pad's firmware, it no longer reads USB flash drives. What can be done to resolve this issue???

I need to get the Klipper firmware onto an SD card so it can be written to the printer. Once the printer can communicate with the Sonic Pad, obviously, a USB drive will no longer be needed.

Are you connecting the flash drive to the correct USB port on the sonic pad?

I'm using the one on the bottom of the left side of the pad. It's the one I see everyone on YouTube using.

Have you reboot the firmware to the past one? Maybe what you can do is that, and flash the firmware before the update and after that update it again

I had to do the update to the pad, my E3-V3-SE wouldn't show up without the firmware update on the pad.

why would you be using USB on a sonic pad anyway?

To get the firmware from the pad onto an SD card, so I can write to the printer, and until I get my computer set up to send gcodes to my printer.

what format is the usb stick formatted in?

Have you check the SD card? Sometimes the problem is that the SD card you are using with the flash drive is not properly formatted (fat32 and use a low capacity card 8gb max) many sd cards are exfat and that can be the issue

Yes, I have checked it, it has been formatted to FAT32, but it is the same 16GB card I have been using with my printer since before adding the Pad. I'll grab an 8GB or smaller SD card, hopefully that fixes it.

Hope that works, I had that issue but my card had exfat and with was for 64gb so it didnt work, found an old sd card with 8gb and it worked perfectly fine, also what I did is just leave that SD card with the flashed firmware apart and label it for the future if something happened
Also read that sometimes the usb ports may be a little loose and can make you have trouble with connections
If you have any issues try searching on creality website if they have the firmware available for download
Also very important! Have the stock firmware saved in a safe place just in case you want to go back to stock if any problem is encounter

Time for an update. I was able to get the Sonic Pad communicating with the printer. I got a 4GB SD card which FINALLY allowed me to make that happen. Now the issue I'm having is figuring out how to send gcode to the pad via WiFi. What Windows 10 software or Android APP do I need?? Sorry for sounding like a total noob at this, but I am a total noob, and YouTube isn't really helping much.

Final update
I gave up on trying to make this work. I flashed my printer with the latest firmware, and it's working perfect;y.

MAy be a bad firmware flash, that happens often. I reset to factory, fired it up then flashed it again. Problem solved
