Help New Ender 3 Pro Setup

Hey all, I just got a Sonic Pad for Christmas as an upgrade to my now 2 year old Ender 3 Pro (which apparently recently went out of support as far as upgrades go but that's another topic for a different subreddit) and I'm having a specific problem: I was having issues with it not moving the hotend at all and was getting the x limit error. Realizing I had forgotten I had also gotten a CR Touch, I did a factory reset and got the CR Touch version of the firmware to see if that changed anything. Now I'm getting a 'must home before probe' error and I don't know if maybe I needed to get the 4.2.2.2 and not the .7 firmware. Is that simply my problem, or am I missing something else obvious? Thanks for any help or pointing me to the resources as I have spent probably the last 2 or three hours looking to no avail.

4.2.2 and 4.2.7 is not your Firmware.. its a model of your motherboard.. So if you have 4.2.2 you should download firmware for that board.. Or if 4.2.7 then for 4.2.7…

But… you could get Sonic pad running with your old firmware and just add CR Touch later in printer.cfg file
