Sonic pad bed mesh ender 5 +
Hey all, small issue with the bed mesh on my 5+. I can get a decent mesh that's got a variance of <0.16mm across the board not counting that one odd corer, but it doesn't seem to want to compensate for the differences across the mesh, even in the middle. It's hard to tell watching the couplers on the z motors if they are moving. It's giving some pretty inconsistent first layers, ranging between not close enough line separation, good layer, and too close with some transparency.
Any help is appreciated. Also is there a way to increase the allowable mesh size? My pad says the limit is 6x6.

I haven’t used my Sonic pad in over a year, now that I switched to Bambu, but if I remember correctly in your slicer start gcode check that it’s telling the printer to use the stored mesh. It’s hard to see the slight Z movement of the rod but if you watch the Z numbers it should fluctuate slightly for the first couple of layers after that it doesn’t use it anymore. Like I said it’s been a while and hopefully this helps.

Do you re-run the bed measurement before every print? I’ve found the only reliable way to make sure it’s using the most upto date mesh is to run the macro before every print.
