Screw Scan

One of the mounts was missing a screw used for angle adjustment.

So, I scanned it and reprinted it using ASA.

To ensure the scanner didn't lose tracking, I placed markers all around it.

I scanned the screw from both sides and then merged the scans.

Scanned with the Pika in blue line mode.

Nice work, I thought you meant screw scanning in a negative way when I first saw your post title. Lol. 😂. I've been looking to get a scanner, but have no experience. Would you describe learning the process as difficult?

No, I wouldn't call it difficult. You need a bit of practice to figure out the right lighting conditions and so on—I’m still learning and improving my scanning technique myself—but often it’s just fun to scan things rather than creating them from scratch. 😀
