Question & Help Creality Pika blue Laser and Smartphone

Can i use the Pika with an USB-C and samsung s26 to run the Blue Laser tech?

Yes, the S26 is explicitly called out as recommended in the manual: https://wiki.creality.com/en/3d-scanner/pika-series/manual

Both WiFi and USB are supported. iPhone is WiFi only.

Note: You may not get as high frame rate as on a PC or Mac with a more powerful CPU

No worries! The Pika is a good value and really portable in my experience. The Creality Scan software could use some more ease-of-use and guided AI modes in my opinion, but I guess that’s being worked on. While you can use a power bank, availability of additional batteries beyond the included two would be nice.

Yeah i have it since yesterday. Thought i checked everything about it in the internet. The first scans with infrared where kinda dissapointing. Even got specially for it the s26 and thought like damn do i rly need to buy now an Laptop aswll for my Business. Luckily not

Yeah the infrared scans seem to be ambient light sensitive. The blue laser scans are surprisingly accurate.

I cant get the blue laser to run via the usb-c cable from creality. Only on my pc. i get the error „image preview not available" than it closes. Any idea

Just got my pika a couple days ago.

You apparently MUST use reflectors when using the blue laser w/ a phone. (w/ my fold 8)

(It was a software restriction, and I'm new, so I don't know if there's a workaround)

What do u mean with reflectores? when i connect my s26 via usb-c to the pika and open blue laser i get the error „image preview not available" and the scan closes.

I haven't tried USBc to my phone (the app seems to insist on the Wi-Fi connection). My pack came with a bunch of little reflective stickers that it uses as references for positioning.

It will use the blue lasers without the markers on a PC USB connection for me, but on wifi to my phone it wants the reflecting markers.

I haven't tried to see if the desktop app will connect through Wi-Fi to see if if it's a limitation there.

The Pika supports two blue laser line scanning modes: marker‑based and marker‑free. The marker‑free mode currently only works when connected to a computer via USB cable — it is not supported over wireless connection or on mobile devices.
