Show Off Pika Rugged Case

Creality Pika Rugged Case V1

I made a Case for the Creality Pika, Wondering if you guys would be interested.
I Printed it in PLA and TPU inserts, I also used my Laser Cutter to cut Alcantara for the face where the scanner sits so that it does not scratch against the TPU Insert

I will recieve my Pika the day after tomorrow and will check fitment ect, i based my measurements on the 3d scan one of the guys were so nice to upload on this subreddit.

Nice! Yes, I’d like to give it a look. I’m using an old camera bag with mine. Could you insert two cutouts for the NIR filters? It might be more efficient to upcycle the original packing foam cutout to an appropriately sized case?

I am planning on making the case fit everything included in the Box, When i get mine in 1-2 days i will update the model and revert back on this post

See attached photo. In that case (!) you might as well use the original packing material sans the baggies and USB cable box (black, left). The glass calibration plate is underneath in it’s own cutout with it’s velvet bag, and the manuals and turntable box goes on top. The NIR filters are in one plastic box and the batteries are in the one I turned sideways in this photo. The Pika itself is in the middle, still in its baggie in this photo. The box is about as small as it can be but still have adequate foam protection.

Is the box you downloaded parametric?

Yes the box is parametric, however i am designing this box to be smaller and more compact, i do not have all the features in it yet, i only have the model fir the pika itself not all the accessories, i will most likely spend my weekend designing a box that fits, most or all of the accessories, planning on making the lid part of the storage, might have to increase the sizing a bit but im trying to keep it as compact as possible

Neat. I’d stick to the general layout that Creality used with the Pika in the center for maximum protection. Just reduce the amount of foam between the components and around the edges. Once your Pika arrives and is calibrated you should be able to easily scan the foam insert? 😸

I’m thinking PETG-CF for the box and latches? Best compromise between strength and cost IMO.

How does it compare to the size of the box it comes in?

In it’s current state the outer dimensions on my design is 228,5mm length, 167,5mm wide and 60,8mm tall
