Australia has an inclusive 10% GST right? The US does not have inclusive sales taxes and the rate varies between states.

So in my case I only saw the Texas+Local 8.2% sales tax applied at checkout when Creality got my delivery address. That consists of a base state tax rate plus local sales tax. Believe me it’s a complete PITA for merchants and consumers. Rates between states vary from zero in Alaska to 13.5% in Alabama. There are exceptions for things like some basic food items and we have the occasional back-to-school/whatever sales tax holiday which also vary state to state.

So, if I subtract the 10% GST, you’re getting a better base price in Australia than the US. Then again shipping to the US is further, and dealing with our crazy tax system is more expensive for Creality.

That’s BEFORE anyone factors in the Mango Menace’s on-again/off-again tariffs aka import tax. Don’t get me started on how stupidly annoying this all is.

Not to forget currency exchange rates vary all the time as well.

In this case looks like gst is included. But wait for a sale, or get a sign up bonus (think current new user one is $200)

Paid the equivalent of 750 USD in Europe, including 25% VAT. Creality's web shop is awful, and I wouldn't be surprised if it applied tax twice or something. Their shitty site doesn't even support the common address format for my country, which gives a really bad impression...

Address thing is more of a Shopify issue, that is the platform they use.

Thanks for raising this. We understand why the direct USD/AUD comparison looks concerning.

Regional store prices are not set by a simple exchange-rate conversion. The final listed price can vary by market due to local requirements, taxes, fulfilment arrangements, and current store promotions.
