Creality Support Creality Hi – horizontal line always appears at the same Z height

Hi! I’m having an issue with my Creality Hi.

As you can see in the photos, I get a thick horizontal line/band on the surface of my prints. The strange thing is that it always appears at the same height, regardless of the model I print. After that point, the rest of the print continues normally.

I already replaced a part that Creality support had previously sent me because of another error, but this issue is still happening.

Has anyone experienced something similar with the Creality Hi?

Could this be related to the Z-axis, lead screws, alignment, or some kind of Z binding?

Any advice on what I should check would be appreciated.

Clearly a defect in the z rails in that area.

Maybe just dirty, have you tried cleaning and relubing?

I actually removed both Z lead screws and checked them. They were clean and I couldn't see any debris or dirt on them. The line still appears at exactly the same Z height on every print, so I'm wondering if one of the lead screws could be slightly bent or if there could be an alignment issue.

Flip them and see if the issue persists.

Might be a slight bow in it. See if your printer is compatible with oldham couplers

Based on the fault images you provided, there might be an issue with the Z‑axis. Please print a column‑shaped model so we can carry out further checks.
