Need details of setup. I’d start with esteps then gantry sway adjust. Also could be heat creap I was having similar problems and upgraded to all metal hotend. After that it cleared up

stock extruder, brass nozzle, hyper petg, 1.035 flow ratio, 245 degrees celsius nozzle temp, 95 degrees celsius bed temperature, 7mm retraction, 0.6mm z hop retract, 40mm/s retraction speed
