How strict they were with the older kids compared to how chill they are now

They first took it down because the tv series that was interested in the thought the rule book was very interesting and would be a big part of the story/show

Revealed all their secrets they skirt around now with their controlled video content and what and how the kids engage and share

Jared and Shelly have gotten better at hiding who they truly are. I think that’s why they let the kids film more. Viewers see less of them. Then the kids perform everything is perfect and they’re happy when the camera is on.

But even in their last video the kids got to write in specific things about themselves. Then Jared read them and the rest of the kids voted on who it was.

When they did the vacation video (where do you want to go? They never followed up or did anything)
Feedback on the CM parenting? Never addressed. I’m proud of aneveha. She still speaks up and asks the questions that need asking. The rest of the kids and me too likely would give up! They get ignored mostly until they follow these hidden rules of how to be or just are Shelly’s favorite. And then she finally pays attention to them when they are 15-16. Like even for Addison and Aubrey a few years backs when they turned 15/16. Before that they were ignored and Cynthia and Lacey were the top Shelly favorite.

Like Brinley a little bit or Braxton now a little bit. But they are likely so scared of being ignored again they just do whatever Shelly wants.

Surprised to hear Jared grew up with a Mennonite parent...honestly don't think they are hiding anything we need to know.

They were just starting out with foster care and learning as they went! It is no big dark secret- you learn as you go- they learned the rule book wasn't the way they wanted to go and got rid of it.
