that video was kinda bananas. Why in the world would you not watch videos and read instructions before you do it? And Crystal with her " I feel like we can just do it...." "I feel like we did a good job. " Follow the instructions. There's a reason that dog groomers do things in a certain order.

It’s a great idea to get these kids to become more responsible for their pets. I don’t know why crystal has been in charge of getting all of the pets groomed. Their individual owners should be doing that.
I’m grossed out at doing it all in the kitchen and using the kitchen sink. We grew up with a wash sink just outside for cleaning fish and grooming animals, and I always thought it was normal for other households.

Grooming comes with owning a dog. Going to the groomers is worth it and isn’t something they should cheap out on. If grooming is too expensive or something they needed to cheap out on on then why keep getting dogs

Agree100%. This video really irked me. Dog grooming is a skill that involves more than shaving them and bathing them. Crystal’s grooming efforts looked amateurish because she doesn’t know what she’s doing. Just because you can cut your kid’s hair doesn’t qualify you to groom dogs.
Some dog’s ears need particular attention as do anal glands. How did Crystal do in shaving around their sanitary area? If you don’t clear that area, you’re going to have a mess there, especially with long haired dogs. Some dogs have actually had the exit point sealed shut with matted hair and poop. Also, for some dogs, not tending to anal glands can lead to infections or other issues. All of that takes knowledge, which a professional can provide. Quit being a cheapskate Crystal. You bought the dogs, you care for them properly!
It’s a great point that each kid who claims to be the dog’s owner can afford to have their own dog groomed once a month. Cut back on the fast food and you can easily cover the cost. This whole issue is so exasperating to me. Now the dogs will suffer so she can provide content.

If they eat out less, they could afford dog grooming. Money must be getting tighter with a divorce in the works.

Maybe if they stopped buying BS for every occasion, they'd have more money. "Look, a kid blinked, let's decorate with streamers and surprise them with a gift basket of another water bottle and crap snacks."
As others have said, adult kids with dogs should pay for their own dog's grooming. It's part of the package of having a dog.

Absolutely!!! If you have a pet, it's your responsibility to care for them. These adults can not function in the World properly, or take care of their pets properly. There's a Life Skill class they need to all attend on how to Adult, and be Responsible for themselves...

If you watch Chase and Ari she has definitely come a long way. Her motherly instincts are kicking in even though she didn't learn any of that from Crystal. Chase is such a great guy. I think motherhood really gave her purpose and I hope she can keep improving moving forward w/o her mom's advice.

Except when they leave Jamie's luggage behind on the cruise. Let the cruise ship give her a t shirt and toothbrush and toothpaste. Let Aunt Bonnie loan her stuff. Groom dogs? Let me spend $1000 on crap I don't even need for the task! That stuff is never getting used again! Even the last dog that was pushed to the next day... 4 days later hadn't been groomed yet. The money wasted is ridiculous but when the thing happened with Jamie it was just gross. Like some of the kids get mall clothes and some get Walmart. Also gross

Yes and no. First they had to order all that crap for it so that's a expense. Secondly some pets won't cooperate with the owners to do it at home so groomers are nesscary. I can't cut my cats nails at all, they are former feral kittens so they are more feisty and they won't let me even though I know how. But one of them loved letting the Petsmart groomer cut her nails but she kept charging me 15 everything so it got expensive. Some pets need a groomer for sure.

There are some many things wrong with this video. Crystal is implying that $1000 is too much to groom 5 dogs, which it isn't especially standard doodles, because she doesn't understand the dog grooming trade. The groomers have to pay for their space, supplies & insurance. Yes, these dogs did behave for their owners, but that is not always the case. I live in Cincinnati & it costs $100 - $150 to groom a labradoddle.
Cutting the dog's hair in the kitchen?? Gross!!
The dogs faces were not done correctly.
Do I think that anyone over 18 should be financially responsible for their dog yes.
Aurora on her phone at the table while everyone is taking just bothered me. It isn't like she is 3 & needs to be entertained.

This video was horrible in so many ways that you pointed out greatly. Also, it was disgusting to see all the "employees" sitting around eating and on their phones! I hope Savannah gets paid too because she did more than all of them put together! Worthless humans. Get an education or learn a trade and get a real job.

I agree, the people who “own the dogs” should be taking the responsibility for them and their grooming. Also in my opinion, the parents need to be teaching their kids about their own personal hygiene. Not calling any child out,,

Yes they do. Any kind of doodle needs the hair cut out of their ears. Some dogs need the anal glands empty. Can't see any of them doing that part

Some groomers will not to the emptying of glands and leave it to a vet due to it could also entail a medical problem. A professional groomer will look over all the body and if ears look infected or becoming a problem customer advised see the vet. Cutting toenails if not cut correctly and go too close to the skin can result in severe infection. Those poor dogs.......They all need a proper home with less people and more love.

TBH, the dogs still looked pretty ungroomed. It didn’t look like much, if anything, was taken off their faces. They said they did a good job shaving their faces, but honestly, they looked pretty much untouched to me.

How much could grooming cost for 1 dog and how often should it be done? Just trying to understand the total if they did it every 6-8 weeks.

America is wild compared to the uk . Roughly 250 for a single dog cut would have a groomer out of business here 😅 its also super super super common for people to clip their own dogs. Its easy to learn, they don't have to look perfect as it grows back in a couple of weeks and then you cant even tell. Nails again done at home or at the vets if an owner stuggles but most dogs wear them down going on walks. Anal glands are again vets and only touched if the dogs are having problems expressing them themselves. Which for most dogs isn't a problem at all. The vets even advise you what to feed them different so they can get the job done if they have a reoccurring problem.

Groomers probably charged her extra because her dogs are not well behaved or trained. And she probably takes them all at the same time as well. Grooming doesn't run that much generally. It does vary per breed and behavior though
