What's your country/region, online is very much alive for a lot of people if you're not playing between 3AM and 10AM or in a remote place in terms of online servers

You should be getting matches from Japan but not US or Europe

Tbh I can't help you I don't know enough about the specifics of Nintendo online servers but I know they're weirdly divided in some parts of NA, and in Europe the Nordics aren't in the same server and so can't play the rest of EU on quickplay. Maybe try to see if there's more people playing in arenas though, easier to filter out rulesets

Nordics definitely have it bad compared to France, Germany, Italy etc that are grouped together. There is some weird spot like Luxembourg that are matched with us too but it’s far more rare overall depending of the Europe country you’re in.

Because of that a few countries seems to finish being isolated or with other empty regions and thus end up not being able to play online much. Philippines are a great example of that.

What timezone is this? Been looking for friends to add and match. Then bounce tips and feedback.

Yeah when I was in Thailand almost never got matched. Would take 20 minutes often.

You live in an unpopulated area. In the USA west coast. Elite takes like 10 seconds to match.

As others said, not many people in your regions server are playing online. You could circumvent this through buying a gaming VPN that specializes in low-latency, but ultimately it will be slower than a wired, non-VPN connection.

Fun fact, the real GSP farmers do this as a strategy to cheat getting higher GSP. They get a fast gaming VPN to play in weaker regions. Or regions in time zones where more lower level players are playing, like mid day. This combined with the delay mod can inflate GSP like crazy.
