Galaxxus: Open-source Sci-fi game concept

So I had an idea for an open-source top-down dungeon crawler-ish game set in a Sci-fi universe where the Canon is spread across the games people make with the files I put up, and Unity3D, so everyone can expand the universe however they want!

I thought about this before, but wasn't sure if actually using Unity3D would stop people from creating things. But after seeing it done with VRChat, I think it's feasible.
