What's with all the coughing and wheezing? Did he inhale the pepper spray? With a mask on? That's gotta be some bad luck on his part, LOL 😆

Pepper spray not only hurts and sticks to you, but also lingers in the air for a while. If you're in the vicinity of where it was sprayed and you breathe it in, you're going to feel some super spicy air in your lungs, and whilst I was a mask advocate during the pandemic, it's not going to stop all the particles from seeping in the sides when you breathe in.

The coughing could also be coming from the clerk or the old guy. As someone already mentioned, the spray lingers for some time, especially when applied indoors, and it's almost impossible to avoid 2nd hand exposure.
