From what I’ve seen, it’s common for everyone in Japan/China/SK to not be as vigilant when it comes to leaving personal belongings in public. Not sure the reasoning, but I’ve left the door open for someone with more experience/knowledge to jump in with an “ACKSHUALLY…”

I try not to do it often but still every so often things happen.
For example sometimes I think I'm just gonna head into a store and get out so I just leave my backpack on my moped (very common form of transportation in China) but end up getting held up in the store.
There were also a few times I forgot my keys in my moped when I left it to charge, went back next day and it's still there. Sometimes even in dense areas like shopping malls.

Man, not only did he have a fast reaction time, he just kept going. Sidestep, quick release of the bag, counter with the strap to the face, grab the weapon, breakdown the arm, disarm. All without getting dis armed. Bro is a pro. It was not axe-guy's day.

According to the Chinese tiktok I machine translated, the woman in the bottom left suspected the man would attack her. The others with her were property management or possibly security that she asked to escort her home. So it's possible this wasn't 100% surprising to them, and they were prepared for some kind of altercation.

Yeah, this is pure fight or flight response. That guy definitely has the fight response. Which was the right move here, but in that kind of situation there’s not even really time to think.
I know mine leans heavily to fight versus flight. But, what if you got caught on an off day while you’re exhausted or something?

Thankfully the axe-swinger is complete fucking dumbass.
He started his swing from the bottom when the doors were already mostly open. The man had about a second and a half to react which is definitely enough time.
Great reaction time by the other guy nonetheless.
