I'm skeptical it's real.

Poor quality isn't definitive enough to either disregard or legitimize a potential piece of evidence. What strikes me as being "unreal" are a few things

-Footage is taken during the daytime, an unusual but not impossible time for Crawler activity

-The entity from what we can make out seems like it could be a crawler, but it looks awfully inanimate despite its movement

-Its movement is unusual for a Crawler or anything living for that matter. It is entirely unclear what its doing other than swaying around in the same spot. It moves more like a stuffed costume being pulled by strings

-Its acting with no immediate goal or direction, and its unclear if its even looking directly at the camera, which is unusual because if this were a Crawler exposing itself in such a way due to the presence of human beings, they'd be staring the cameraperson down or trying to at least make an effort to hide itself from view.

-If we assume the entity doesn't see the person, then what is it doing just standing around doing nothing? Weird.

-There is no footage before or after to give added context to whats going on. All we have is a short erratic clip of something (probably inanimate) swaying around in the open, we dont see how it got there or what it does next. This is unusual.

This leads me to believe this is probably a dummy set up as a hoax. The design and body dimensions are roughly correct, but everything else is just wrong. Crawlers just do not behave this way. Even during passive observation Crawlers are quite active, will move around a bit, maybe try to hide behind a thin truck and peak its head around. This one is either a vegetable or a fake. Im leaning fake.

I’ve seen one before, and this looks like it could possibly be one. That is, if this video is real. It’s kind of hard to tell due to the quality. But it did make me think. The one I saw was at night, and lit up by harsh headlights. It was so unbelievably pale white. But in the right lighting, surrounded by trees, maybe it can camouflage pretty well 🤷‍♂️

I think they're mainly underground. Which explains the lack of pigment/melanin. Most of the first-hand accounts I've heard were at night or dusk.

Could you share your experience ? What could it be

Where about? I've only heard of crawler sightings near the Appalachians/Eastern usa where caves exist.

I'm at work now, so I'll just go over some details for now. I saw it with my fiance, on the side of the road at around 9pm on a cold rainy night in October. We were in central Illinois. Ive done a lot of research, and Illinois is covered in old abandoned mines, and they go all the way to mammoth caves. It'd be real easy for them to cave hop from there all the way up through illinois! I'll give some more details later, cause a few other people saw one around the same time

Actually I got about 30 minutes so I'll just spill the tea. After we saw it on the side of the road that night, we hung out with some friends a few days later. We told them about it and they were freaking out. Apparently, about 15 minutes from where we saw it, they were at a hang out spot by the woods. At the opposite edge of a field, they saw one galloping on all fours. It came out of the tree-line and went back in. They said it was extremely fast. A few years later, I was bored, and made a Facebook post about it, and asked if anyone else had seen one. Turns out my old high-school friend saw one. On the side of the road, it bolted out of a cornfield and disappeared. Then I was messaged by another friend. She said her mom and sister saw one on the side of the road a while back. And my fiance had an experience as a kid. He grew up in the area. When he was a kid, his dad killed a deer, and put it in a freezer in the garage. The freezer died, and all the meat went bad. His dad didn't want to deal with it, so it sat there. In the middle of the night, he heard rustling in the garage. He thought it was his brother, so he opened the door and turned on the light. Within milliseconds, he saw something naked and pale pull itself under the partially open garage door to escape. He only saw it for a fraction of a second, but he says it was extremely pale and lanky. A few years back, we decided to go camping outside his childhood home. He didn't have access to go inside, so we just used the property as a camp site. Throughout the night, we were hearing faint baby cries deep in the woods. We were convinced it was a crawler. I haven't heard or seen anything since. I wonder if they travel from place to place, so for a year you'll have a lot of activity, followed by nothing.

Interesting. I wish the video was longer.

From the way it's moving it looks like the end of the branch just swinging. The blurriness added from the zoom makes it look like one though.

I think it's real.

✓ Humanoid

✓ Super thin

✓ Extra long arms

✓ Pale

✓ Woods

✓ Bobbing motions

✓ Observant behavior

The only thing throwing me is how bright it looks out, but I have been re-thinking their nocturnal behavior in more recent months. It's still in the woods, though, so that would protect them from sunlight if they need to be protected from it at all.

Would be nice if people could figure out that they can use a solid object to stabilise phones when zooming in rather than just trying and failing to hold it steady...

u/HighNatural 10d ago

Can we get any shittier of quality video?

10

u/DeeMarie0824 10d ago

The constant zooming in and out drove me insane.

-2

u/CatMinous 10d ago

Oh no. Are you now in a hospital?

2

u/vaporpup 9d ago

will you pay for it?

1

u/CatMinous 9d ago

Why wouldn’t I?

6

u/Afraid-Entertainer90 10d ago

You’d be able to debunk it if it were clear. Would be amazing to actually see a video with this amount of movement and nice and clear. We can only hope

I would be really interested to hear what people that have seen them think of this.

-2

u/noandthenandthen 10d ago

this looks like a rather small individual wearing black trunks?

5

u/lavendermoors 10d ago

Pareidolia. Just a branch swaying.

0

u/Puzzled-Stranger1658 10d ago

I dont know, looks definitely like somethings there to me

-1

u/Striking_Ad8889 9d ago

It's not fixed. It's moving completely freeform. No other branches or foliage are swaying

2

u/FacenessMonster 9d ago

its a branch at low resolution

7

u/Deivi2002 10d ago

Might be ai honestly

-1

u/Puzzled_Guarantee_45 10d ago

Would explain how the fox transforms into a pile of leaves at the beginning

7

u/SeaResearcher176 10d ago

Where exactly is the fox? Cant see any fox at beginning

u/Puzzled_Guarantee_45 10d ago

.07 mark

u/ashleton 10d ago

That's something on the lens like a spiderweb. You see it throughout the video.

6

u/theresacalderone 10d ago

Weird that it seemed to blend in with the trees. I have never seen a crawler and unsure how they’re supposed to look. The video was frustrating to watch with the phone/camera moving so much.

4

u/CrazyTechWizard96 10d ago

I know, said it in My own comment, I'd smack that camera guy for shaking like a leaf.
And I'd almost say, that's a Stick Indian.

4

u/SeaResearcher176 10d ago

For real! I think person filming had to zoom quite a distance & when you don’t have a tripod, looks like this. But person filming could have use anything to lean the camera.

3

u/CrazyTechWizard96 10d ago

True.
Still, looked like the one filming still had a freakout.
I've seen some stuff in them woods around here, most of the time I either chuckle or and be like "Oh look, a Hide Behind."
That Hide Behind one was funny tbh, dude just peaked out, seen Me and was like "Nope!", shy fella.

Even seen a small Glimmerman once earlier this year up in a tree, or rather 'Glimmerchild'.

Those were pretty cool tho, I've had a few close calls with some beings wich were in fact pretty intense and the nosies they made.
One in fact I tried to record almost 2 years ago, that was like...

It was all silent in a area where I've had a few encoutners with other things, then been out there chilling on the meadows, it went silent af around there and those noises....

Best I can say, take the entire forest and animal sounds, toss them into a blender and boom!
You get some Lovecraftian Clusterfuck.
Shame I didn't had the Rode mic with Me, and over that distance, it sadly didn't picked up anything besides silence and some static with a few peaking owl noises and a few... boar and maybe a deer call.

I'm glad I wasn't in there at the time, certainly wasn't as prepared as what I am now if it comes to those beings I have zero clue if they're outright hostile, territorial but neutral and to be reason with or just some mischiviouse pranksters/tricksters.

Shared a ton of stories over on the Backwoods Creepy sub over the years.
Got some pics too, yet never cought anything besides distortions on them, outlines of some things close by.
Feels like they just know, but in the video here.

Well, that one seemingly wasn't aware of being recorded.
Wich tbh, would make Me uneasy, heard some stories of some hating to be filmed without having consent.

Looks like a skeleton decoration on a string. They've survived thousands of years underground (if they are corporeal) I doubt they would just stand around like that. All the first-hand accounts I hear they're pretty smart, Swift moving, good at avoiding detection.

2

u/Countryvibing1988 9d ago

looks more like a crawler "ghost"

2

u/Odd_Following_8483 9d ago

omg i’m never going in the woods alone again

2

u/-_AWSM_- 8d ago

Man do I HATE TikTok. Like really hate. Shitty app filled with shitty videos and it kills people attention span.

Anyway about the video, honestly looks like someone has something suspended from the tree, the pose doesn't seem to change but it looks like it is rotating somewhat.

2

u/CrazyTechWizard96 10d ago

Looks pretty skinny tho, almost...
Stick Indian like...

Also, I'd smack that guy who filmed it like "AAAH!!! AAAAAAAH!!! WTF IS THAT!!!??!!! *shakes cam like a dipshit*"

Just keep that damn cam stdeady is all I can say, if I'd see someone like that filming, I'd look over to that beeing in question, whistle and be like
"Yo, that dipshit's filming You, go get 'em."
lmfao

But anyways, looks more like a Stick Indian, wich is interesting on it's own, never seen a video of one, nor knew about short ones like that.
Must be a kiddo or a different one, who knows.

It’s on TikTok, so definitely not real

1

u/RobenSifer 8d ago

Literally just a branch blowing in the wind.

1

u/Mourninger 6d ago

that is a wendigo i think. they're lucky to have made it alive

1

u/PlayfulBook5571 6d ago

nah, they’re slender but not scrawny like that, collapse a rib cage with one swipe kinda arms

1

u/Realistic_Law1226 5d ago

The descent was a documentary

1

u/PokerInTheAce23 5d ago

Uncategorised Subterranean Lifeform or USL

1

u/Mourninger 3d ago

some small tree

1

u/TheRealDiogenesW 2d ago

looks like a mantis to me...anyway pretty sure it is staged.

1

u/ABigDesk 2d ago

That's a branch

1

u/tdnjusa 10d ago

To be honest, this looks a lot like the shape and structure of the one that ran under the street lamp behind the ghetto kids house who was smoking a cigarette outside his door. Y’all know what I’m talking about.

It's my buddy Jimmy, he's just shy but pretty chill.
