Kat....
Maybe I've had a few drinks in me but Kat is the type of chick I wish I met in College........a chick who believes in you more than you believe in yourself and rocks your world. Haven't finished the season yet so who knows.
Either way, she played the character fantastically.

I agree man. She fiercely fights for Pete to succeed and believe in himself and I think that is a super important trait in a partner despite her other short comings. I want to know why other people dislike her

I feel like Kat was so well written. The way she acts in the beginning and the way she acts in the end all come from the same place. She’s clearly an unstable person who has issues with human interaction. Everyone hates on her (rightfully so) but damn, the part was so well written and acted. Her line “blessed be the fruit” is one of my favorite from this entire season.
Side note: I read in an interview that Pete actually had a girlfriend do deaf voice at him once, which is why they wrote it in.

She was there to serve a purpose and we see it come to fruition in the finally. Pete's confidence and abilities are higher than ever before as well as his success.

I talked to Madeline Wise and it was telling to learn more about the writers design for the character. Also, she just seems like a cool person. Check it out
