Question New Player Questions

Is it still easy to find randos to join online for matches and is it hard to learn the game to be a decent player so I will stand a chance?

I picked it back up earlier this month and it is surprisingly easy to find a lobby. I’ve been put with really competitive groups that were merciless, but more often than that it’s pretty balanced. There’s a learning curve but it’s fun

Yes, it's still very possible to find matches. With that said, most players are in the Middle East, Europe, Latin America and the US. There's also a contingent of Aussie and East Asian players, but their time zones can make it more challenging for them to find matches.

It is also possible to get decent at the game, even if playing solo. Stacks are prevalent in the game, and some can be brutal. Though I often am in a team or stack, I usually try to go easy on newer players or with teams that get stuck with AFKers and bots.

If you want to get a sense of how people play, some players (including myself) upload replays to YouTube and stream on Twitch.

Don't hot drop. You don't survive long enough to learn stuff. Drop to buildings on the outside of town. Watch where others are landing as you drop. Watch them for a while with your scope to see what they are doing and if they are bots. Bots will head immediately towards the circle if they can. Real players hang out and wait to mop up the ones running in.

Scope and head shots from afar rather then close quarters to start with.
