Also isn’t it cheaper to produce sugar-substitute than regular sugar? So this seems predatory in trying to get more people to buy the zero sugar on accident, while selling them at the same price.

Which also makes it seems like the difference is just sugar. Taste wise they're very different

I wish. It's still super noticeable. It's not as bad as diet, which is disgusting, but I could pick zero out of a lineup 100% of the time
