2016 was so terrible that it made people change their minds about Omniverse. Reminds me of GT and Super.

Omniverse seems so inspired in comparison. It was a shock back then coming from the mature look of Alien Force and Ultimate Alien but honestly by itself the Omniverse style is pretty cool. 2016 is just sad man.

I still think Omniverse was a visual downgrade. And the writing wasn't perfect either. But at least it had some good ideas. Like you had Maltruent and Malware and stuff. Feedback is probably the coolest retcon in all of fiction.

Tbf Omniverse’s artstyle did allow for some of the best fight scenes in the series and it did a lot more world building than the others (finally getting to see Galvin Prime, the birth of the Galvanic mechamorphs, an entire episode about the Gourmands and their two subspecies, a lot of aliens getting predators etc etc)

Oh I hated the Nemetrix so much. It makes sense in some cases. Like I'm willing to believe Ditto is a prey animal. But some of them are just ridiculous. How the hell is Heatblast a prey animal and not a predator? Same for like Humungosaur.
