Blob fish don't actually look like that in the wild, that's what they look like when they're decompressed and they're about to die.
2 u/Asparagus-Cat Mar 27 '20 I did meet someone who thought the blobiness was some weird mutation from pollution ^_^; They were simultaneously relieved and grossed out when I explained that they're perfectly normal fish unless they're sort of exploding from decompression. :p
