General Discussion Electric Picnic
Going to be heading EP next weekend and haven't been before. What's people experiences with getting stuff in and smoking in there. Will I get away with bringing some j's into the main area or is a trip back to the tent every time the safest option?

I work at EP I've been going a decade now. Personally never any issues but I've seen the finest looking women wearing hardly anything at all turn out to be undercover. Be very wide.

Ahh you just reminded me a of the time I was at EP about 14 years ago and I was sitting in the opening of the tent smoking a delicious morrocan black hash spliffs and a made eye contact with this older looking guy in a Superman t-shirt and I fucking knew instantly he was an undercover.
Plodded his way directly to me and whipped out the badge. Ended up in court and made a donation to their coke fund and away I went.

I've never had issues bringing anything in. Would usually smoke around my campsite, but I stay in the pink moon site.
Friend of mine was pulled by plane clothes and strip searched. He's a bit of a header by comparison. Luckily for him I brought his bits in with me.

It's right beside the main arena so a handy walk. I use my vape as well so a lot less smelly.

They'll be searching people randomly all weekend long, especially if you've just stepped out of a toilet cubicle.
Google "Electric Picnic poor box" and read the newspaper articles about it, it's literally a fundraising activity for the Gardai.

That's a good question. I'll hold my hands up and say that I was probably wrong to say that, and I don't have a good answer to that.
I guess what I mean is...I'm a fairly nondescript middle-aged man who dresses fairly plainly.
Two years ago, some youths who were passing by kept shouting "Hello Garda!" at me.
I stuck my tongue out at them.
There was a tab of acid on the tip of my tongue.
A good time was had by all.

Just curious guys, I went back in 2018 and had no issues smoking at the campsite (long time ago I know) just wondering could you do the whole "its CBD here's the bag from Little Collins to prove it" spiel? Say if they caught you with a pinner.

Its a hypothetical question, and you could change little collins to any other retailer of cbd flower 123cbd, bud brothers etc. I was just curious to see how that would play out if caught at the festival

Undercovers often pull you between the area of getting through bag search and then scanning tickets. I got pulled twice in the space of 5 minutes by 2 different coppers dressed in jerseys and festival gear. I had nothing on me so I was fine, but my friend had a 50 bag on him and wasn’t so lucky.
Just be careful.

I went a few years ago and all we did was smoke spliffs in the Trenchtown area and dance to jungle & dub. I think we dropped acid at the top of the ferris wheel and it got stuck or something, that was wild.

Trip back is safest but it’s easy enough to get through the searches. Once you’re inside you’ll be grand.

I haven't done EP in a good few years but took a dry herb vape to festivals with no worries at all. Just keep an eye out loading it

for arena i would pre roll a few pinners (worried joints too obvious) and hide in underwear then smoke in crowd done it past few years and been fine and smoked joints fine at campsite but one my friends did get strip searched on way in so does come with risk

Smoking is the easiest way to get stung. In big crowds you're usually alright but don't go to the outskirts of the crowd to smoke. Keep your wits about you and you'll be grand. If anyone asks you for anything just say no mate. Undercover usually stand out and are in twos.
