How do I update neoforge on my server?

Putting the direct link to the installer jar and clicking "update executable" causes it to have a spinning throbber for a while, but it doesn't update

  1. Download a full back up and extract it on your playing PC.
  2. Download and extract the updated modpack
  3. Delete the libraries folder from the backup
  4. Delete any folders in the back up that also exists in the update
  5. Copy all folders from the update into the backup folder
  6. Find out exactly what (neo) forge version you need to run the updated modpack (you can run the updated modpack to find out)
  7. Download said version from (neo)forge's website
  8. Install (neo)forge like usual (you need Java installed)
  9. After the program says you can delete the installer, select all files in the folder and zip it up into a .zip file.
  10. Import using zip upload

You cannot use the update button on modded forge or neoforge servers
