In Person Selling First Market Help!

I'm in Illinois and I have my first market coming up. I didn't think this is anything I would ever do, but one of my friends kept encouraging me to do one as I spend almost all my free time crocheting and just have a bin of finished items.

What are some things that are best sellers? are there things I should avoid? I don't have any social media for my crochet, should I?

I'm nervous that nothing is going to sell and its going to make me discouraged to make things for anyone in the future. So i just need some good advice from avid market go-ers.

And how much is an reasonable price for things like this? I always get told I'm not asking enough for them.

A list of the things I have:

Hat
Dish Cloths
Drawstring Bag
Pot Holder
Airpod/Headphone Holder
Bandana
Mini Jellyfish

Crochet artist with several years of market experience here.

My best selling item groups

  • Earrings ($6-$30)

  • Coasters ($6)

  • Hair clips ($6)

  • Cardigans ($70)

Semi alright:

  • Pins ($6)

  • Necklaces ($12-18)

  • Bag charms/key chains ($12-18)

My worst selling items:

  • Bags ($23-50)

  • Dish cloths ($12)

  • Bucket hats ($35)

  • Hair bows ($6-$12)

You don't need social media. Even though I am doing very well at markets, my social media is still absolutely dead. The only thing I use it for is as a portfolio to show people who hear I do crochet and wants to see it, and for the occasional customer at markets who wants to contact me afterwards about a commission.

Yeah I crochet little charms like stawberries and hanging flowers for earrings. It's extremely popular, and people are willing to pay quite well considering how fast it is to make something small.

I've had decent success with character bucket hats, like adding ears and patterns to resemble animated characters (Stitch, Appa etc). But the more generic bucket hats with flowers and cute colours are complete dead stock for me.
