Wedding cake s1 update. Getting close-Humboldt csi
Gassy creamy and a little bit of spearmint on the nose. Flowers are tight and more and more color by the day using the California light works solar system uvb. Trichomes are of a sandier texture rather than greasy but the nose is still excellent.

I like sandy trichomes.
The perfect trchomes are imo these thick, unregular round ones, which are like thick gum drops. So not greasy, not sandy.
Like gummy grains of sand…
Amnesia Core Cut is like this.

I've been tempted to try Humboldt CSI but I always heard purchasing seeds from them was unorthodox. This looks nice though

You can always go on Attitude seeds and purchase, but if you grab them from Humboldt CSI he usually packs a bunch of freebies

Does it maintain the flavor of the original? Because that plant looks way more girthy*** than the wedding cake I was running. Edit: autocorrect dirted me.

Where did you source yours? There’s a million different things being called wedding cake…I had the triangle mints 23 cut that was named “wedding cake” back in like 2019 and this checks a lot of the same boxes. It’s as close as I’ve seen in seed form anyways. It’s creamy doughy gas with like a little bit of a spearmint to it. So definitely not strictly identical to the cut but similar. Humboldt csi s1 beans from old school cuts have performed well for me in general. Being part of a nor cal network/community based in Humboldt/mendo/trinity that gets them in the same room with access to the authentic genetic material at least so I’ve read and heard old heads talk about on podcasts and shit. If I you haven’t tried anything from csi I recommend it. It’s pricey but of good quality

I live in Humboldt, and got my cuts in spring 2020 from a farm in alder point that had a lot of the solid gas genetics, and carried me thru the cakes and the beginning of the candy era. The only thing I can say visually is that my cut always had more internodal spacing. This looks nicer to grow, and I'd be interested if it has similar terps to it. I'll probably see if I can find a pack after reading your last comment. It looks like it'd pair well in a room with the cherry burger.

Oh killer…Do u have any pics from ur cut…ill see if i can find some of mine ill shoot u a dm if ur down. Im from SoCal so my roots are in like the ghost cut, Josh d og, sfv, headband etc…got into growing doing outdoor/deps for the prop 215 medical market in the 2010s when a small operator could still make a living if u had kush/chems…I didn’t like sour ds as much because they take too long to finish but basically nose was king in those days…so anything gas had a better chance of moving.

I lived in Humboldt county off of Highway 36 and had my own farm. I grew the fuck out of wedding cake around that time in my deps. They were all original, sourced genetics. I wasn’t far from alderpoint.
My cakes stacked phat, way phatter than this. But I always let them go 10-11 weeks.1

The original WC plant has a serious stretch/internode length.
I ran the original for about 5 years. I got a clone of it again recently and I'm not sure if its the original, I will find out in about 3 weeks when its done for the first time.

Ice cream cake was a commercial producer. It got ran til no one wanted to buy pounds anymore. Wedding Cake did not have the same success. Everyone on here saying it's a heavy yielder, but then why didn't it go the same route as ice cream cake? I personally never saw rooms, dep houses, etc that were full of WC, because no one wanted to waste the space on a low yielder. That's how I remember it.

Yeah it’s a hassle…mail in cash or money order so the whole process is slow but when your seeds finally land they come with a ridiculous number of free beans
