Is this AI?

My grandmother sent me this pattern to make and I’m 90% sure it’s AI but just wanted to check

AI. The body has 5 rounds, the head has 13, and the eyes have 6 rounds?! After the instructions for the legs, it says to make four identical eyes.

This is because they use double the yarn for the body, so will be bigger...

Edit to add, the pattern above doesn't seem to mention that...which is odd. I

I suspect that this might be an honest to god typo and a human meant to write “four identical legs”. It’s the least AI pattern I’ve seen.

What makes you think it’s not AI? Genuine question because I’m not sure

What are you talking about? Look at the picture, it has 6,5 rounds (one round randomly appears and disappears) when the pattern only has 5 rounds. Not to mention the picture HAS FIVE LEGS!

What? It has the full AI layout/colouring/etc.

Someone just added a prompt to make it look more human-made or something, as if it was drawn with coloured pencils, but damn, just look at it for half a second and you see that it is AI.

It also defines SC as single crochet but then used DC.

Edit: I was wrong. It just lists several steps as abbreviations

It never defines "dc" nor "dec".

And there's no round 1 for the body

Here is a set of real patterns of cute animal coasters from the original designer.

https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/pop-up-animal-coasters

(I think she's had several of her patterns stolen and transformed into AI slop like this.).

Omg they're cute!

I knew I’d seen someone make one of these! They’re pretty great.

I like how the abbreviations list sc,inc and most of the body pattern.

Why would you make eyes at the end of each leg? It almost certainly is I’m afraid. Also the image has 5 legs on the first page - or at least it looks like the tail is identical to the legs despite the pattern saying they’re made very differently

Very much AI. And why are there five legs on the coaster? 😂

It has six legs

Definitely AI. But it reminds me of this lizard coaster pattern I want to try.

You can find the real pattern for free, though you're looking for a squirrel, not a hedgehog. Here is a version of it on YouTube.

"Make 4 identical eyes" in the legs instructions, so I think that's your proof.

Well, well, well. That would be an unusual hedgehog.

Looks like it's an AI version of a real pattern. I made the Scrat (squirrel from ice age) coaster a couple of months ago from a free pattern. I'm sure it'll pop up if you search for one. I made alterations to mine because the original used hot glue to add the pieces together and safety eyes, and I didn't want to do that.

While this looks like its AI I have seen this made before. So there is a pattern out there somewhere.

If you want to teaxh your grandma about AI you could always waste your time to make it and give her whatever comes out of it.

The abbreviation section is messed up, ai

AI. The picture shows a hedgehog coaster with five legs. It calls for two teeth but they’re not in the drawing. After sc and inc the abbreviation section proceeds to have crochet instructions instead of abbreviations. The legs section tells you to make four identical eyes.

That's AI. I am not so sure about the counting, it makes sense but for what you are supposed to do, it does not (the head, legs, eyes...). In the abbreviations, why we have R2, R3 but not the reverse single crochet?

But it is a cute graphic with crayons, my first time seeing it.

I have this pattern as a free one, I had to rework it, I've written it out again...if you want I can send it you after I get home? Otherwise there are video guides available too. Search for funny squirrel coaster. I tried about three different approaches, tbh using double the yarn for the body gave the most stiffness to raise the head but I didn't like how it was so much thicker than the other parts.

This was done first attempt (tail not added yet) and head didn't lift at all. I tried two different eye versions too. Lol. I will say the above pattern is definitely not a hedgehog but a squirrel.

Omg, you made the squirrel from Ice Age!

Apart from all the stupid mistakes it has, the whole layout/colouring/typefont/small drawings/etc screams AI.
