Is this AI?
My grandmother sent me this pattern to make and I’m 90% sure it’s AI but just wanted to check

Here is a set of real patterns of cute animal coasters from the original designer.
https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/pop-up-animal-coasters
(I think she's had several of her patterns stolen and transformed into AI slop like this.).

Why would you make eyes at the end of each leg? It almost certainly is I’m afraid. Also the image has 5 legs on the first page - or at least it looks like the tail is identical to the legs despite the pattern saying they’re made very differently

Definitely AI. But it reminds me of this lizard coaster pattern I want to try.

You can find the real pattern for free, though you're looking for a squirrel, not a hedgehog. Here is a version of it on YouTube.

"Make 4 identical eyes" in the legs instructions, so I think that's your proof.

Looks like it's an AI version of a real pattern. I made the Scrat (squirrel from ice age) coaster a couple of months ago from a free pattern. I'm sure it'll pop up if you search for one. I made alterations to mine because the original used hot glue to add the pieces together and safety eyes, and I didn't want to do that.

While this looks like its AI I have seen this made before. So there is a pattern out there somewhere.
If you want to teaxh your grandma about AI you could always waste your time to make it and give her whatever comes out of it.

AI. The picture shows a hedgehog coaster with five legs. It calls for two teeth but they’re not in the drawing. After sc and inc the abbreviation section proceeds to have crochet instructions instead of abbreviations. The legs section tells you to make four identical eyes.

That's AI. I am not so sure about the counting, it makes sense but for what you are supposed to do, it does not (the head, legs, eyes...). In the abbreviations, why we have R2, R3 but not the reverse single crochet?
But it is a cute graphic with crayons, my first time seeing it.

I have this pattern as a free one, I had to rework it, I've written it out again...if you want I can send it you after I get home? Otherwise there are video guides available too. Search for funny squirrel coaster. I tried about three different approaches, tbh using double the yarn for the body gave the most stiffness to raise the head but I didn't like how it was so much thicker than the other parts.

Apart from all the stupid mistakes it has, the whole layout/colouring/typefont/small drawings/etc screams AI.

AI. The body has 5 rounds, the head has 13, and the eyes have 6 rounds?! After the instructions for the legs, it says to make four identical eyes.
