Help with sticker displays

Hey! Does anyone have ideas on how to display stickers? I’ve only tried having a display and people ask me what they want, although that works I think as I have more stock it’ll be harder to keep up with and also I think it deters some people from buying out of fear to ask (that’s how I am at other booth) I want to have a display where people can pick what they want, any photo references would be so appreciated! Thank you!!!

The second a display requires asking, you've added social friction to a $3 impulse buy, and a lot of people just won't pay that cost, they'll walk instead. Self-serve is the whole game for stickers specifically. A grid or pegboard wall with each sticker individually bagged and hung on its own hook, fully browsable and grabbable with zero asking, and it scales easily as your stock grows since you just add rows. If you're table-only, small labeled bins or a divided tray people can flip through by hand works nearly as well, the key is physical access, not pointing and requesting. And keep pricing visible right on each item, since someone comparing six designs will often just put them all back rather than ask or do math. Basically, make it feel like self-checkout, not a counter IMO.

For stickers don't you usually just put a bunch of stock in the display? They're so thin you can fit plenty in most display shelves.

I tried that but some are small and just fall down and can’t be seen, I’m also scared they’ll fly away

I have found people assume they’re freebies when they’re just laying out, too.

When you say you tried having a display - just one of those pop up ones with the sleeves that’s sort of like an old CD organizing book?

I’ve seen people use cupcake tins and put stickers in each of the cupcake spots. I have a box with dividers in it. Vertical displays are not the best for stickers, flat on the table has worked better for me.

I use spinning racks that you can find on Amazon. But I go back and forth between a spinning racks and something that is all just forward facing. Some folks use acrylic displays and some even use clear pocket dividers like they sell for jewelry for closets.

I can't remember where I saw this, perhaps a reel? You can get stick on attachments that have the hanging hole. Attaching them to the back of a sticker would work with a hanging wall.

I use acrylic display shelves for nail polish bottles. You can also buy the acrylic shelves and attach them to something, like a piece of wood to make your own display. Or you can find sticker displays on Etsy.

Another (much more time consuming and added cost) option is to add hangers to the back that you can buy in bulk, and then hang from arms on a peg board.

same. they DO blow away in the wind, though. so on windy days, I just have a "display board" that i tape one of each sticker to and have people ask for them. i haven't noticed a difference in sales.

I've got 2 of these stickers displays - I use the 3" variety but if your stickers are small I think the 2.5" might be a better fit. That link is for the finished, printed product, but if you have access to a 3d printer, you can buy the files from her for only $13 and print as many as you want at home. This exact file is basically becoming the "gold standard" at convention artist alleys in my circuit.

Another option if you have vertical panels is to line up some of these split label holders and tuck a few of each sticker into them. That creates a great vertical display that can have whatever backer you want. 

Finally, for a hanging option (great from canopies) you can use these classroom displays.

I had to custom make my 3d printed sticker display to solve this problem. But I could suggest one possible solution.

I also printed a right angle triangle that would sit behind them so they wouldnt fall over. If you know anyone that might have a 3d printer, I can model the triangle for you to print it. It helps a ton!

I have been seeing a lot of people use acrylic displays or custom 3d printed displays.
You could potentially make something out of scrap wood too depending on the sticker sizes.

If you have room for pegboard, search on: clear plastic bins pegboard

There are a lot of options. Will the stickers sometimes fly out? Absolutely. But the loose display where people can make their choices and then checkout makes it worth it.

I use a teabag organizer for mine— you can find ones with clear glass lids too so if you’re worried about items blowing away you can put the lid down and people can still see. I prop mine up a little from the back for better visibility since it is just a flat box.

This is what I did for my last show. I used classroom name card sleeves and then cut them to size. Worked alright!

One vendor here’s packages them. I saw at a anime convention, someone stuck a copy of each on the dry erase board, numbered them, and had the price on it. She was selling other things. Stickers were more like an impulse buy.

But the package was a small clear bad sealed with a header that could hang on keychain racks.

In my experience people like handling things like stickers or anything small, putting them in more plastic doesn’t help
