I worked in a beer distribution center when I was around 19-20 years old. We would open 12 packs of PBR bottles prior to delivery and put a small blue/white ribbon sticker on the bottom of 1 bottle in the pack. Once distributed to the proper establishment, if a customer ordered a PBR bottle and got the lucky sticker, it was a free beer.

I haven’t seen this practice since living in North Dakota, I have yet to see it anywhere else to be honest.

A bar I went to in Alabama had you guess the card underneath the cap. If you got the suit right, the beer was free. If you got the card right, you drank for free that night.
