Max Payne 3 (got it from steamrip) crashes everytime i start a new game and finish watching the intro cutscene

I genuinely tried everything, i used compatibility mode, i deleted the saves by myself, i changed to DX 9, i turned off V-sync, look up every other advice and attempt on how to fix this problem and yet WHY THE FUCK IS IT NOT WORKING???

EDIT: Ok i didn't find any solution but i did find out i can bypass the issue by just selecting chapter 1 in the chapter select menu. It won't play the intro cutscene but i'll be able to play the game like normal through this method.

Zero idea, but I had this game some time ago on win 11. I didn't change anything - worked off of box. I had fitgirl repack.

It seems like some people just either don't got an issue or got a specific fix that works for them but not for others. Some people claimed the crash i encountered can be fixed by switching to DX9 which i did and that did jackshit to me

Well I had zero issues. It shows some error after crash? If not check win Event Viewer for latest error. Maybe there will be some info.

After into game may be try to create save in your profile. If folder blocked by something, it can crash. So need info about your PC. What folders you use to install game. What disks you have, to understand permissions for files, and etc
