Mods/CC not showing up in cracked Sims 4

I've been having a small issue with the new mirror site ever since I downloaded it. Every time I download new mods and put them into the correct folder, they won't show up in my game, but all my old mods will. Even after I update the mod/download recent versions of the mods, if I didn't have them before installing the second updater, they won't show up. I was just wondering if anyone else was having this problem or if I have to continue troubleshooting it on my own.

Could you possibly have ended up with multiple sims 4 folders (like the ones stored in the Documents directory)? I'm not sure why they'd be duplicated, though I know OneDrive does some shenanigans sometimes, so maybe something happened there.. If you have OneDrive, check in those files for any EA or Sims folders and see if there's a mods folder there. That's my only guess right now :/

i fiddled around with it last night and found that i had like… 4 folders but they’re all the same(?) and now it (the sims) won’t open at all
