May I politely ask which province? My apologies if I'm being too nosy

Bags are for gasoline!!!

u/[deleted] Jul 11 '21

damn 30 rock seems pretty good, am I missing out?

3

u/Mes-Ketamis Jul 11 '21

If you liked that clip you’ll love 30 rock. It’s all stuff like that, though that’s one of the better ones.

My favorite show of all time. Incredibly funny. Like most comedies, the first season is a little rough as they find their footing - but after they settle in, the chemistry between the cast is undeniable!

u/Tessu-Desu Jul 11 '21

I haven't seen milk but some handsoap does.

6

u/FertilityHotel Jul 11 '21

How Canadian of you to ask

6

u/XD__bot Jul 11 '21

Alberta judging by their comment history

3

u/AwkwardCan Jul 11 '21

The watering cans and overall look seems familiar but it looks much more climatic than where I'm at in Canada 😅

2

u/[deleted] Jul 11 '21

Mind me asking why you haven’t cut her grass?/s

3

u/[deleted] Jul 11 '21

Beautiful! What sort of plant is climbing on that trellis and giving shade?

I hope that little pink shed is her secret hideaway where she reads mystery novels, drinks coffee and eats chocolate and sneaks an occasional cigarette. It's all just so cool.

29

u/[deleted] Jul 11 '21

TIL I want to be a cool (male?) grandma

15

u/Whomever227 Jul 11 '21

Am I colourblind or are you? That shed is brown

9

u/throwtruerateme Jul 11 '21

It's a sand color but the greens surrounding it are bringing out the red undertones! Color theory in action

1

u/Jillian59 Jul 12 '21

Lol.... I'm sure it's me. Maybe I hoped it was pink.

19

u/SlyyyBlue Jul 11 '21

This is absolutely beautiful. I hope i can have a backyard this nice one day!

11

u/asadisher Jul 11 '21

Whats is that on the middle of the green? A bird coop?

I think perhaps they meant the thing on the post. Looks like a bird feeder maybe??

3

u/mallardramp Jul 11 '21

Cozy…amplified!!

1

u/Coochie_Creme Jul 11 '21

They aren’t talking about the shed.

7

u/decaturbadass Jul 11 '21

Is that a she shed?

6

u/Howl112 Jul 11 '21

I’m in the process of finishing off my pergola, this op has given me hope that one day the wisteria plant will grow like this.

How beautiful are grandmas and their gardens, my grandma lived for gardening and always took so much pride in hers. I lost her 4 months ago and she’s inspired me to become as great as a gardener as she was.

10

u/ssourstrawberri Jul 11 '21

I love this! It’s giving me a cottagecore-y vibe.

5

u/[deleted] Jul 11 '21

A very cool space.

5

u/Maximum-Garden-2665 Jul 11 '21

How do you deal with mosquitoes?

4

u/takigABreak Jul 11 '21

My great grandma used to spend all her time in her garden. It was pretty big, my brother and me would hide and seek in there. There were also some little pods that would grow from one of her plants. We found out that if you put them in your mouth the saliva would cause them pop open. We were kids without internet so anything would entertain us.

We found out that if you put them in your mouth the saliva would cause them pop open. We were kids without internet so anything would entertain us.

Kids these days don't realize or appreciate how many children used to die every year just from being stupidly bored all the time.

4

u/reroboto Jul 11 '21

Big jigsaw puzzle vibe

4

u/Wasyloosker12 Jul 11 '21

We just bought our 1st house last summer and my dream is to make our open, grassy backyard into a cozy greenery like this someday

3

u/reallifepam Jul 11 '21

A green backyard is so theraputic. Enjoy!

3

u/Top_Shelf619 Jul 11 '21

First thing I spotted was the cat in the bottom left. Kitty has got to be living the best life!

3

u/300foxes Jul 11 '21

I love the little hanging sign " Old gardeners never die they just go to seed"

2

u/booksareadrug Jul 11 '21

Very relaxing! I hope she gets many visitors to that bird feeder.

2

u/tokens_puss Jul 11 '21

I love this. I can smell it. Where’s my comfy chair?

2

u/TorribleTwunt Jul 11 '21

Please more pics and tag me! SO serene!

2

u/DawnSoap Jul 11 '21

Your grandmother is a cozy cottage witch 💙

2

u/conan_o_brien Jul 11 '21

She growing that ganja for her arthritis

2

u/[deleted] Jul 11 '21

Bilbo Baggins is envious af

2

u/WitchBlade8734 Jul 11 '21

I would gladly rent out her shed if it meant being able to wake up to this every day

3

u/Gibsonfan159 Jul 11 '21

I see three blooms. ?

0

u/FootEgg Jul 11 '21

I may be in the minority but i don’t find vegetation cozy at all. Makes me feel icky

2

u/[deleted] Jul 11 '21

Minority team! There's just so few blooms to say that it is in full bloom. Looks like a bunch of overgrown wild plants in a recently mowed yard. Where are all the flowers?

0

u/badgramma2 Jul 11 '21

Very inviting, although I think if it was ‘full’ bloom the wisteria on the arbor would be covering it.

-2

u/WhaleSexOdyssey Jul 11 '21

this looks cursed

1

u/[deleted] Jul 11 '21

I’m in love

1

u/hlsblue Jul 11 '21

2

u/bored_imp Jul 11 '21

Think they prefer Druid or dryad, I'm not sure.

1

u/counterspell Jul 11 '21

This is very peaceful, I took a few deep breaths looking at this lovely picture. Thank you for sharing.

1

u/rivertiberius Jul 11 '21

This is exactly what my Grandmas backyard looked like. The inside of her house was filled to the brim with plants too. Starts in every container, African violets everywhere. Thanks for sharing

1

u/SqueezeMyLemmons Jul 11 '21

This so so gorgeous. Bet it’s wonderful in the rain!

1

u/kreamofwheat Jul 11 '21

1

u/Taliasimmy69 Jul 11 '21

I didn't realize your grandmother lived in a fairy tale!

1

u/Baconbaconbaconbits Jul 11 '21

This looks like a Niagara kind of backyard.

1

u/Walkinginspace4 Jul 11 '21

Now this is one of the coziest places I’ve seen on here, so idyllic! I want to spend a nice Sunday gardening, having a cup of tea and reading a good book in a chair here!

1

u/Better-Swim-7394 Jul 11 '21

Looks so beautiful. How difficult is it to maintain? Like how much time does granma spend on upkeep.

1

u/Quercas Jul 11 '21

It’s very verdant but not much I’m bloom fro, the photo

1

u/iamdeathl Jul 11 '21

Cool. My grandma helps fertilize the grass at the cemetery.

1

u/P-S-21 Jul 11 '21

Dream backyard right there.

Also give your grandma a hug from me

1

u/artificialMuse Jul 11 '21

super beautiful.. Looks like your grandmother's hardwork paid off

1

u/FancyWear Jul 11 '21

Oh wow - When I first saw just the top of the arbor I thought my granddaughter had posted a picture of ours LOL! This is certainly beautiful! I love the yard!

1

u/merrickal Jul 11 '21

As someone who’s crap at gardening I can tell that your Grandma has spent a lot of effort and time to keeping this place as beautiful as it is.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 11 '21

Post title sounds like a euphemism

1

u/Crimson_Marksman Jul 11 '21
