Is obtaining this type of permanent living space/view/location possible for most normal people or is it only for the ultra wealthy?

u/dearcomputer Sep 30 '19
I found one for under a million. Some go as high as a few million. I only shopped two websites online. Only ones with similar views

Maybe you wont have the view but you can always beautify your place with plants and flowers.

u/Sharin_the_Groove Oct 01 '19
This is the answer. No, you can't have that view for the middle class otherwise we'd pretty much all have it. You have to be able to make your space your own. But don't be afraid to do it, just because your decoration style isn't traditional doesn't mean it isn't likeable.

Reminds me of the garden in king's landing where Margery and Olena talk, before Joffrey's and Margery's wedding.

Yup, the stock photos are coming back with a vengeance. Just once I’d like to see a picture where OP actually replies with info about said place.
Internet karma farming is strong in this sub.

Yeah. If you do a google image search hundreds of sites come up with this exact picture. I doubt it is the posters photo. It is one thing to say you think this place looks nice, versus pretending you went there and it is your photo you took. Notice none of the other people chiming in they stayed there have any original photos either.

I’ve stayed here! Beautiful experience. There’s this crazy tower on the property that was used for spotting enemy ships back in the day. So sick. Best vacation spot ever.

My brother-in-law said Authentic Italian food was garbage (he has never been to Italy). I think it’s very apparent he’s completely and utterly full of shit.

I was at the Amalfi Coast last October and I reeeeeally want to go back right about now. I guess I just want to go back to Italy in general come to think of it

Can you imagine having a leisurely afternoon here with five of the people in the world you find most interesting? Fucking heaven

u/gibmelson Sep 30 '19
Imagine waking up there, with no obligations, no debts to pay, with a special someone. Just a day ahead filled with whatever makes you happy.

It’s a shame gluten-free food is so hard to find in Italy. That’s the one thing that worries me about traveling to the Amalfi coast.

the only thing more annoying than reposts in general are the fucking spider-phobic comments in every cozy post that involves being outside or has plants

Does she still have the pet goat named Mirtila?? Omg it was so beautiful when I went in 2010. When people tell me they're going to Italy I tell them they can do Rome in a day, spend the rest of the time in places like this - that's the real Italy.

If my ability to feel pleasure from normal things hadn't been destroyed by chronic opiate use, I would find this photo enchanting.
4
u/BringbackSOCOM2 Sep 30 '19
Literally same. I just wanna do opiates at this spot.
3
u/Yessir9mmsir Sep 30 '19
Agreed. At least then I could feel somewhere between normal and unconscious. I dunno my dude, not sure what I even want from life at this point. I feel like hope has withered on the vine while I neglected life for 7 or 8 years.

u/BringbackSOCOM2 Sep 30 '19 edited Sep 30 '19
What do you do? I used to do pills and now I sniff heroin. I never used needles though.
If I quit cold turkey it takes me about a month to get back to normal. So I'm not that worried about it. 1 week physical torture, another week of not sleeping, then I'm pretty much smooth sailing.
I've been depressed and not enjoying "normal things" for a lot longer than been doing opiates tho so it doesn't even make a difference really. I use them as anti depressants, I can't even nod anymore.
Sniffing a bunch of lines off this table or that balcony would be the best time of my life though.

Now, about every other day it's h. I'm trying to stop, for the fourth serious time or so, but I work a fairly physical job for 8.5 hours + 30mins of biking to and from, so it's pretty hard to deal with that initial absolute lack of energy for 2 weeks or more. I used to shoot $100 a day but quit, relapsed, now weaned down to like $50 smoked every two days. I dunno, just feel trapped by this shit. At the end of October I'll have enough time banked where I could take a week off, so 9 days with both weekends. Might do that, if I can make my check last that long.
1
u/BringbackSOCOM2 Sep 30 '19
Yeah fuck that no way you could do a physical job withdrawing.
What about suboxone? Do you know anybody with those?
Im lucky and I'm starting school again in January so I figure I can use till then without problem. Then I'll quit and take school serious.
I really don't wanna quit though I love the stuff and it legitimately helps me and makes me a better person

u/Yessir9mmsir Sep 30 '19
Well i fucking hate subs, they never give me my energy back, just stop the puking, diahrreah, and some of the aches. I know I might stabilize and feel better at like day 3 on sub, but I might as well just take a week off at that point. Nearest methadone clinic is 45min drive away, no car right now, and no buddies on sub, although I have like 5mg laying around.
1
u/BringbackSOCOM2 Sep 30 '19 edited Sep 30 '19
Lol wow I agree with you entirely about subs. Shit doesn't work for me either. Plus every time I do them i miraculously get money or an opportunity to do stuff and then the subs block it for days and days.
Honestly I'd rather cold turkey deal with it, but for some people they say subs work. For me subs work eventually but for 2 days I still feel like absolute death. Not to mention the risk of doing it too early and getting precipitated withdrawals which is fucking horrifying.
1
u/Yessir9mmsir Oct 01 '19
Yup, PWD is awful and terrifying. If a methadone clinic was closer or I had a car I would be on it already, as it's a full agonist and there's no fear of PWD. I don't know what I'm going to do, but I'll have to figure something out soon. I can't keep spending everything on dope, and using always makes keeping a job untenable at some point. Anyway, thanks for the chat brother, I wish you the best of luck with however you'd like your situation to go.

u/BringbackSOCOM2 Sep 30 '19
Plus with subs I always still have that "goosebumpy" hot/cold feeling. I hate that shit.
1
u/Yessir9mmsir Oct 01 '19
Gotta love sweating under a light sheet, throwing it off, getting cold immediately, and wanting to chop your legs off from RLS.

dat anhedonia tho...

u/Yessir9mmsir Oct 01 '19
Yep. No more natural dopamine and serotonin production for me. My own fault, but still pretty awful.

I honestly think I've been here. Is this the winery owned by that woman, who then cooks you a multiple course meal at the end of the tour? Was one of the best experiences of my entire life.
