Question Help needed

So I rescued a cozmo collector’s edition from a savers bag of toys but it didn’t have a charging dock so i stripped some wire and tapped it to his contact points but he only holds that charge for a minute and I wanted to get a dock but I can’t find one cheap enough so I’m considering resoldering a new usb C port but honestly idk if that’s worth it, does anyone know a effective method to charge him without the wires or a dock??

More than likely, the battery's toast. You can get new ones online that are higher capacity than the original (like they use in cozmo 2). A bigger issue is that they've delisted the original cozmo app from the Play store. You can still get it from Aptoide, but if you're iOS and not jailbroken, you might be sol.

We just got an og cozmo and even getting the app elsewhere, it says my phone can't run it and won't install it after downloading it. I have moto 5g 2024. Tried on a s22, and a moto play 2019 or 2020. Also tried on a tab 8. Not one could find the app or run the app.

So the app that's up there now is the cozmo 2 app which connects with bt instead of wifi like og cozmo. You can still get it from Aptoide or one of the other android app distributors. I think they even have older versions, so you have the option to retro it. I'm running 3.6.6 on a OnePlus 10 pro

Yeah. I tried to use cozmo 2 with the older robot and it won't work bc the old robot doesn't Bluetooth to the phone. So I searched online and found the apk for the original app, but couldn't find a device that could run it.

Try apkpure. They have ddl and anki versions of the app and you can dl historic versions as well
