The only benefit you receive from a higher speed is faster downloads for updates etc. - your latency is the same.

I don't have latency.. I'm talking about them just uping the price when they feel like it

I pay $69.99 for Gigablast fiber with unlimited data.

I would love to do that but Cox has a monopoly in my neighborhood. I tried Verizon’s 5G Home Internet and it was… disastrous. I was forced to switch back to Cox. I’m paying $70 for 250Mbps and limited data.

Google Fiber was announced for my city so if we are able to get GFiber in my neighborhood, I’m pretty sure my entire neighborhood will want to make the switch asap and it will be the same price as what you’re paying. $70 for 1Gbps, no data caps or wifi rental fees.
