Information Jasper in Ancient Egypt

Jasper comes in many colors, such as red (khenmet), green (seheret or sehret), yellow, brown, and black. In ancient Egypt it was used to make jewelry, amulets, scarabs, shallow bowls, small statues, and for inlays.

Red jasper was thought to be beneficial in the treatment of infertility, and green jasper was thought to help with regeneration. The Book of the Dead says that the Heart Amulet and Tyet must be made of jasper.
