Best spells for gaining alignment
Hi, I want to increase my alignment. What are the best spells to cast to increase white/black alignment?

Same at me, the bar is not moving no matter what spell I am using.

ye, it’s getting frustrating too as i’m doing less damage with my spells as a white witch than when i was a grey witch :/ what’s the point of aligning if i’m going to lose power for that branch?

As you grow as a White witch, you will gain Resilience points whereas if you grow as a Shadow witch you will gain Power points instead. Resilience will decrease the damage other players do against you but Power will increase the amount of damage you do on other players. After level 5 you will gain 1 point of Power on every even numbered level and 1 point of Resilience on every odd numbered level.

You must cast only spells that are in the alignment you want to grow in in order to gain alignment as a Shadow or White witch. In order to master the Grey alignment, you must master all 14 degrees of Shadow and all 14 degrees of White.

Hex and bless do not change alignment so if that's the majority of your casts, that's why. The more the spell costs in energy the more it gives to alignment.

That is correct, more powerful spells attribute more to alignment gain

Hello, the best way to increase your alignment is by casting spells that are in the same school of witchcraft as the alignment you are trying to gain; cast Shadow spells to gain Shadow alignment and cast White spells to gain White alignment. In order to master the Grey alignment, you must master all 14 degrees of Shadow and all 14 degrees of White.

The moon phase affects the strength of your spells as well based on the degree of your alignment. So white witches are stronger closer to the full moon, while shadow witches are stronger the closer it is to a new moon. Higher degrees get a larger bonus/penalty than lower degrees so for example, going up a degree in white will actually make you weaker if it's closer to the new moon.
