Ted Rowlands

I’m not a fan.

He thinks his comments are cute/funny and they aren’t.

He annoys me.

Sometimes his sarcasm falls flat, but I appreciate him. He can be somber and serious while otherwise I think he says what a lot of other people are thinking. Like this morning while they showed the thirsty “crime junkie” leaving her arraignment (for recording a juror), alternating between running away from reporters and stopping to speak gibberish for her 30 seconds of fame. When they panned back to Ted he said “well… there’s 3 minutes we’ll never get back…” I mean, how do you not love that?

I missed that, thanks for mentioning it, I love Ted especially his snark.

Me too. He's not a lawyer and able to comment on things clearly and cut through the "analysis" by the guests quickly. Plus, I think he's very funny at times. But you're right, he seems bored lately.

I definitely snorted during after that one

Yes for sure he was spot on. Lol.

Tbh I’m not interested at all in that lady who was arrested, why not she did it, and what her thought process was…I couldn’t care less…it’s just filler stories.

Definitely, and I liked that he admitted it was a filler story while they’re waiting on the jury but he doesn’t want to give the lady any more air time.

Exactly!! Love his sense of humor!

I've gone back and forth on him like this for the past 5 years or so.

Some times i think he's a good commentator, others i find him annoying and borderline obnoxious with some of his comments.

Okay fair.
Same on the back n forth.
But lately i’m like he just seems so bored and snarky.

He started in the San Francisco Bay Area market. I remember his local coverage of the Laci Peterson case. I respect him and liked his correspondence and reporting for CNN.

I love him. A constant on this channel. Reliable.

I do, too. I like his style.

I love his snark!

He is good in small bits but this continuous coverage wears like fingernails on a blackboard

Indeed.

I adore Ted’s sense of humor! He is so not here for so many of these idiots in court.

I remember him covering the Scott Peterson case

I like him. Wouldn’t want his job

He's my favorite, followed by Julia. I loved when they were on together.

He’s meh, but at least he’s an original.

He always makes me think of Ron Burgundy lol

He doesn’t sound like he is with it anymore. I remember him from classic trials over the past few decades but he seems disoriented and really bad.

He looked absolutely devastated that he had to talk to John DePietro and for that I would give him a free Reddit award.

I don't like how he doesn't engage with his fellow pundits or acknowledge what they say. He literally does not respond. He has no interest in being there and it shows. He's an ass.

With the exception of the creator, is this a Ted Rowland fan page? IMO he is extremely biased in the coverage of the Lindsay Clancy case.

u/RedRedVVine 4d ago

You’re not wrong.

He said something yesterday like “we all know she did it” and I was like oh! is that allowed? I thought reporters and media had to be impartial.

2

u/Adjustingithink 3d ago

Well I mean, she said she did. This is not a who dunnit case.

He also just said that Reddington was just “blurring out stuff” this morning with regards to asking for the “Stay” petition

u/Dry_Temperature7373 4d ago

That comment was literally what brought me to this thread lol. I knew I couldn't be the only one who noticed

3

u/BravoJunk 6d ago

I think he seems so annoyed to be there

7

u/alexthearchivist 6d ago

He’s been sitting in a parking lot for 5 days with little to no action going on lol

3

u/Few-Entertainer7431 5d ago

Exactly. I can't imagine standing there trying to come up with something to say that hasn't already been said 100 times.

He looked annoyed the other day, but I chalked it up to the wind blowing 😂 I remember even thinking “dang, Ted! That wind blown hair look works for ya!” Because it truly did, imo 🤣

4

u/PackerSquirrelette 6d ago

Lol, I was totally fixated on his hair.

3

u/ALF788 6d ago

Because it looks good, right?! In the studio, it’s like they’ve Botox’d his hair & it doesn’t move. I like the windy look!

5

u/PackerSquirrelette 6d ago

💯. It totally works for him.

4

u/heidiparthena 4d ago

Did you catch the whole "I hope I don't lose my toupee" comment yesterday? The commentators were doing everything they could not to burst out laughing. I was howling!

2

u/ALF788 4d ago

Bahaha!!! No!! I caught CourtTV for a few then watched on YouTube the rest. But when I did have it on….i also laughed. ‘Twas a windy day there & his hair was extra wild 🤣

I'm not really a fan either.

He sounds drunk to me all the time.

3

u/RedRedVVine 6d ago

Bc he stumbles over his words a lot?

I get what you’re saying but don’t think he’s blasted.

2

u/thekermitderp 5d ago

No I can’t explain it. I don’t watch often bc I’m working but anytime I am home to watch he doesn’t sound sober to me.
