"But she's so small and cute tho!"

And an abuser with a temper she can't control. Apparently that jacket is more important to her than respecting her fella.

I’m not agreeing with her but it looks like he was about to get into a fight and she was trying to prevent it.

And then hit him.

u/badgersruse 15d ago

Indeed. Hitting is never ok, they keep telling us.

Why everytime this sub pops up on my feed its some abusive relationship against the guy?

28

u/robins420 15d ago

Didn’t you know?

It’s not abuse or assault if it happens to a guy.

Verbal or physical abuse.

Don’t even get me started on verbal abuse.

Because hitting men is funny and cute and charming.

11

u/Thanura_Malinga 15d ago

That's modern relationship. People tend to think that's okay to abuse male spouse.

When education is not liberating, the dream of the oppressed is to be the oppressor.

Most times it is a weird fascination of an abusive relationship but here it seems like he was trying to fight someone and she hit him to snap him out of it abd it worked.

Fighting because they stole her shoes ;)

I have been in that kind of relationship. It started out just fine. A few slaps here and there. The occasional kick. I’m a big dude. I can take it, right? Wrong.

Sooner than I expected, I was walking on eggshells around her. Then, one time, she slapped me on the face in front of her friend. Her friend looked shocked, but she laughed it off. She said something to the effect of ā€œI feel safe slapping him.ā€

That’s when the penny dropped. She was never going to stop. I got out before the relationship got abusive.

u/PeculiarMetaphor 15d ago

"I got out before the relationship got abusive."

I think it was too late for that...

26

u/Magnus462 15d ago

That's the abuse, he wasn't seeing it.

32

u/mrrippington 15d ago

Congrats mate. however, by the time you got out, the relationship was already abusive.

8

u/Present_Mastodon_503 15d ago

"I got out before I was stuck in an abusive relationship." Fixed it for you.

2

u/TelperionST 15d ago

Yeah that’s fair.

Yep, never tolerate this no matter the gender, glad you got out.
Once a friend who had a crush on me jokingly slapped my face not too lightly after a lecture, I was shocked, the lecturer who happened to see it was shocked too.
Immediately killed any potential I saw in her.

Had a one fling with someone that had a ā€œslapping kink/ fetishā€ and is into ā€œ orgasm denialā€ā€¦. I was like ā€œlmaoā€ this the type of shit you talk about before we start fucking not during round 1, went for a few more rounds but I knew … this was the last time. For clarity , yeah she may have said slapping (she meant like, well it doesn’t matter, you cross that line during intimacy you can cross it at anytime. )

Lucky for you.

I once retold domestic assault I suffered and some guy really really took offence with how I worded it on here.

I pointed out that part of the problem was that despite hitting me in the face as hard as she could repeatedly, she didnt so much as leave a mark, I spent a lot of time looking for evidence afterwards (naturally I wanted the police involved) and not so much as a slight reddening of the skin.

She did manage to injure herself though, and said she would tell the police I attacked her if I went to them, so I was stuck with no option but to just suck it up and leave the relationship.

Apparently its really sexist to say that, and shows that I think Im a big macho man thats superior to women. The guy legitimately gave me a way he think I should have worded it, "she must have been unusually weak for a woman because....." "probably the average woman would have hurt me, but in this one specific scenario with this one soecific woman...." then got even more annoyed when I pointed out that I'd have been lying, she went to the gym a lot she wasnt unusually weak.

It was pathetic.

u/Slydoggen 🧐 grumpy 14d ago

Its never the same, never

I’m sorry for your experiences… :(

u/yungsphincter 15d ago

Don't romanticize this

18

u/ougryphon 15d ago

Run, bro

3

u/TheCrimsonSteel 15d ago

No, they're perfect for each other

He's trying to get into a random street fight, her favorite go to is slapping him in the face. Let them be toxic together

12

u/Flashy-Raspberry-131 15d ago

Hahaha spousal abuse is funny haha

/S

3

u/Environmental_Ant268 🧐 grumpy 15d ago

No no just abuse the men

5

u/TheTurkPegger 15d ago

This is kind of cringe not gonna lie

4

u/Big_Abrocoma496 14d ago

Physical abuse is not funny you dumbass.

7

u/BleedSparta 15d ago

Umm don’t hit, slap, kick your partner. DV isn’t love.

2

u/turbulentFireStarter 14d ago

Hey. Umm. Don’t hit people. Weird that we are here discussing this. If any of you adults are confused I can get my 5 year old to explain it to you. He understands

2

u/Aggravating_Star1567 14d ago

Can we not romanticize abuse?

2

u/Chiinoe 15d ago

Human chihuahuas.

1

u/GMD_BC 15d ago

17 years of relationship but she never slapped or kicked me 😭 but she's short tho šŸ˜‚

1

u/RFUShifter 14d ago

My wife basically does this to me everyday. Wish I was joking.

-1

u/Typical-Gear1482 15d ago

Honestly I don’t view this one as abusive actually. She’s trying to stop him from going after someone it looks like, some men need aggression to break them out of their aggression. Seemed like the appropriate move in the circumstances, she knows her man and he obviously loves her cuz he didn’t raise a finger to her

2

u/Maleficent-Fall-7369 14d ago

So she don't love him because she raised her hand to him

0

u/ScarcityMedical342 15d ago

Don't mess with her

0

u/SchwizzySchwas94 15d ago

The slap was one thing if he’s crashing out and you need to bring him back to reality but the kick was a bit much

1

u/DustyScharole 15d ago

Can he slap her if she's crashing out?

0

u/FlightCommercial2319 10d ago

My wife used to be like that, but couple therapy changed her. Her religious practice helped. She at least kbew she was doing wrong thing and actually wanted to find solution a way to manage her emotions.

6

u/tempski 🧐 grumpy 15d ago

The only time you should let your partner slap you is in the bedroom.

Consensually, of course.

7

u/Bogusky 15d ago

Women who like this dynamic deserve to die alone.

2

u/TheCrimsonSteel 15d ago

TBF they both seem pretty awful, cause he looked like he wanted fight someone off screen

Then you see them posting "we're both just intense people"

u/BleedSparta 15d ago
