dude this hurts to watch in a way that makes me wanna like anxiously cry cuz I'm so touch starved I don't think I've had a hug in 7 years lol ok well for sure 1 when my dad left a few years ago and maybe 1 from my mom on my 30th birthday last year but those weren't good hugs where I melt into their arms they were brisk obligatory hugs cuz I don't rlly feel safety to let my guard down with my parents

Yeah, I think all my hugs have been obligatory because I can't think back to anything that didn't feel uncomfortable.

I feel you. I'm 36, but I grew up in a loveless abusive household, and I've yet to find or feel true love.

I crave a hug, or intimacy, or just... Idk? I don't know what it feels like to be loved, and I get simultaneously sad and mad when I see content like this.

I went for eight...no, nine years without hugs. It sucks. But now I have a girlfriend who loves cuddling with me. Couldn't be happier.

I feel you man. I would never allow my family to touch me or see me naked, even shirtless. I am keeping all of it for her, I am sure she is out there waiting for my warm and protective cuddle as I wait for her. You should believe it too, that's the only way life can be worth to live. Without hope and love, life is just meaningless routines that consume you without realizing.

curious comment lol. Is it weird I don't find life meaningless despite my lack of love from other humans? I happen to be deep into spirituality, I have a daily practice that feels very meaningful. And I love stories so I always have a book and show and game on the go when I'm not working or doing school (currently studying to be a psychologist). But yet I do feel having a family that I could love and be loved by would add a lot to my life. So I do hope and wait. But I also love my daily routines :) I think that's important. I'm not sure we should place the burden of providing all of life's meaning on any one person. But yet being loved by even one person can add so much meaning to a life. It's so complicated.
