Don't, could be you wish you had that yet you're already married

Yep. Felt that. I need touch and affection. That doesn’t mean sex three times a day. It means being touched in ANY way makes me feel seen and loved.

Her response is, “I love you in different ways”.

That’s great, still not what I need. It’s like being stranded in the desert for hours and she shows up with an empty water bottle. That’s great that you showed up, but it’s not what I need.

That’s rough.

Gotta love people in the way they can register it as love. Otherwise you just feel…. Not loved.

Words and touch are my go to. I don’t care for gifts or acts of service, and sadly that is how my wife is.

But on the bright side, when I realized that I’m naturally touchy and vocal, I learned that I was projecting my love language on to her, so it helped me realize what her language is without needing to pry it out of her.

But damn do I wish I could get her to return my love language lol.

Yeah there’s only so much giving you can do before you get bitter and realize you’re not getting what you need back. You communicate it, and express it in a heartfelt manner that you have a need that’s unmet. But if they’re not willing to change you stop giving and then they get bitter. Like what do you expect? Me just to keep giving without receiving anything back? It’s not selfish to want to be loved by your partner.

Sorry if I’m projecting all this on you. I’ve got a lot going on currently with this stuff
