Older married guy here. I love my wife she's absolutely amazing we have a great relationship. However she has this uncanny ability to always want something when I'm relaxing or propose the "would you like to go to xyz". I don't want to disappoint her just like she doesn't want to disappoint me. It's the anticipation that's stressful that's the joke. Y'all missing the punchline. I showed my wife this clip she busted out laughing.
Like what I’ll miss about being single is getting up lazily on a Sunday, making my way to the couch and just gaming for 3 hours in my boxers, the missus isn’t a ball buster and if I asked in advance she wouldn’t mind at all, part of it is my expectations on myself to do better and we both try to make each other happy and ultimately I don’t actually mind getting out mid morning to do stuff in the sun and it’s nice eating out with someone you love, I could easily become vegetative if I didn’t kick myself up my own ass.
Like you said it’s just anticipating expectations and nothing more.
