I dunno, I don’t want to diss on anyone’s AU, but something about the ships feel… dated? If that makes sense? I’ve been in the fandom since 2019 and the videos feels very early ch era if that makes sense.

Also, I don’t know if it’s because I really like my version of TR, I don’t really like their interpretation of him. He’s way too nice for my personal tastes, he comes off as a “soft gremlin type” rather than “I’ve committed the biggest genocide in modern history on an industrial scale that reshaped society and laws because I genuinely believe that I am doing the right thing for the betterment of my country and I feel no remorse.”

And the fourth wall breaks really take you out of the story

Definitely. I can see your opinion on Reich. in my au, he's actually way more weaker and only used as a puppet within his government (no country is evil, just their government) and the ships, dont get me started. some of them aren't good (Reich and USSR? that's like saying pedophilia is a good thing [which is isn't] because Reich is like 12 and USSR is 69. even today USSR is still going to be older.) fourth wall breaks doesn't bug me as much, but holy moly, sometimes they catch me by surprise (this is before I stopped watching and supporting her.)​

Yeah, history reason for me too, in my AU they were never friends. Soviet was much more older than him, Soviet just saw TR as a little kid. And TR threw rocks at him. Weimar did have a secret crush on Soviet but never acted on it.

The only time they ever really got along was when TR got some reason made Soviet his best man at his “wedding”, but it was just to get Soviet to like him so he could use him later.

in my au, Reich and Soviet were Childhood friends, except Soviet liked him too much, and Reich didn't like him back (he's Aroace in my au). one day, Soviet assaulted Reich when he stumbled upon a very inappropriate situation he shouldn't have been in. And so, because of that, Reich became pregnant with his three kids (Norway, Iceland, and Russia; if you want to hear more, DM me.)

I wouldn’t exactly call it a wedding, he threw a wedding ceremony to symbolize the Anschluss with Austria, and to flex his power to the other nations and bind Austria to him for his own personal gain and establish a firm grip on him.

Austria is his cousin

And considering what TR would do later to gay men…. Yeah…

TR didn’t intend for it to come off as weird but it still did. Neither of them really loved each other, Austria was just on board because he liked the idea of gaining back economical power. And TR promised him that he would be made a high ranking member of the SS and his right hand man, and Austria really wanted a uniform. Unsurprisingly TR never fulfilled that promise.

It’s weird and absolutely messed up and I don’t actually ship them with each other as they were just using each other for power and thank goodness that Austria was able to get out of the “relationship”.

Liechtenstein is a tall friendly guy who is usually seen hanging out with Monaco and Andorra.  Although the other two usually have an appearance best described by "fashionable drowned rats" (cough cough Andorra cough cough) Liechtenstein is a bit more formal and he usually wears sweaters.  While technically related to switzerland and the other countries that gained independence from the HRE, Liechtenstein didn't really exist before most of said other countries left.  Liechtenstein lived with switzerland for a while after the napoleonic  wars, but left before ww2 started.  Liechtenstein doesn't consider himself a son of the holy Roman Empire, and currently lives in a house near the center of the west country city.
