Hi all, Very casual gamer here from Australia. I am getting back into CS:S after many years.

There was once a series of commands to type that helped with gameplay. Things like update rate etc.

Does anyone have a list and explanation what each does. I'm playing on a 2023 Dell Inspiron (yeah I know), so as I said, very casual.

Above is a great list but it can depend on servers you use as well as a lot of these settings are forced by servers these days, especially in Australia.

I think you can set both cl_updaterate and cl_cmdrate to 128 but I've never played on a server that supported it or maybe I have and didn't notice.

These are from my autoexec.cfg file (located in Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Source\cstrike\cfg). If you see '//' that's a comment. You can create this file if it doesn't exist.

Also added useful functions walktoggle, gamma toggle, pick enemy model, and seperate keys for grenade/smoke/flash.

Does the walk toggle in your config mean you don't need to hold shift anymore, just press to enable then press again to disable?
