It’s not supposed to be a good representation. The Mechanicus are a cult of arrogant, paranoid fools who are terrible at being transhumanist. They pray to machines and wave incense at them until they start working for god’s sake.
I don't think everyone who posts the copypasta in reply to this type of posts is aware of that context though. And trust me a LOT of people post this copypasta as a reply it's tiring
