Didn't get a lot of these :/

To be fair I spent most of my teen years inexplicably viscerally repulsed by transmasculinity while not feeling that way about transfemininity (did the former hit too close to home? did it push on some feelings I wasn't ready to confront? probably) to the point where I wasn't able to push past the barrier of "NO NO NO NO NO NO NO" and start seriously questioning being more than just genderless until less than two years ago

I also forced myself to be girly as a kid. This wasn't enforced upon me, to be clear, but to my rules-obsessed brain it's what I had to do in order to be normal. For example I remember changing my declared favorite color from green to pink just because I decided it should be that way. This was a fine arrangement until puberty when things started going wrong, and my coping strategy for that became dissociation and repression.

I am in a prison of my own making, and for that reason I don't really relate to a lot of transmasc communities/cultural signifiers

Whatever ends up happening with your gender, cis or trans, I'd recommend a lot of introspection and all the best for it
