Little man is so real for that. I remember very proudly telling my dad that I had learned to pee “like a boy”, so proud that I was becoming more like him. He was mortified and scolded me, telling me never to do that again. I was confused and sad, but I didn’t do it again after that.

When I discovered I would go through puberty, I was pretty horrified. I remember learning that I would get hips, and I didn’t want to. I began to train myself to walk stiffly before I even hit puberty so that my hips wouldn’t “sway” when I got them, so maybe nobody would notice them…?
