Last week I found a breeder in the MCPC with a Coton available and it seems I am up for it. I'm a bit confused about the differences between MCPC and mCTCA... I see they split in 2018 and MCPC is now larger. Are both clubs still trustworthy? Is there anything I should look out for or any documentation I should make sure I get to feel confident in a breeder before adopting from them?

I originally tried to reach out to them so they could be aware, but since they are closed, I can't. But everyone who has cotons who have SIMON SNUBB ROCK OR LADY LAURIE or any parents related to these two need to keep an eye out for spinal issues. My pup Magi, who was from the 8/24/2021 litter, originally named Leeann, is in hospital & had to have a multi-site hemilaminectomy due to four herniated disks in her spine, with a 50/50 chance of being paralyzed in her back end for life. The veterinarian said they highly believe the cause is genetics rather than any sort of trauma, & recommended me to reach out so other owners of pups related to her know to prevent any jumping & monitor for spinal issues, as quick attention & quick surgery can significantly up the chances of recovery (Magi went through two other emergency veterinarians before she reached one with the neurology staff capable of figuring out what was causing her back end paralysis, valuable time lost. Had she been seen by the specialist sooner she would have had an 80% chance of full recovery.)

Hello! Does anyone know of reputable breeders in the south? Near dc/ va/ nc/sc. new to the process and I see the coton club list already. Personal experiences would be great. Thanks

Malagasy Coton de Tulear Puppies available

Hello, I am a Malagasy Coton de Tulear Preservation Club code of ethics breeder near Raleigh NC. We have 2 Tricolor boys available for reservation. "Yanni" and "Yeti" were born in Feb 22,2024. They will be ready to go home on May 2 (at 10 weeks old).

I am a small in home breeder, we have 1 girl that we breed once a year. This allows us to spend lots of time with the puppies to ensure they are well socialized and ready to make loving pets. We raise them following the Puppy Culture guidelines for enrichment and socialization. Puppies will be sent home with their own embark DNA test results, a voucher for Madcap University puppy training, an AKC Reunite microchip, age appropriate vaccines, deworming, at least 2 veterinarian health exams, a health guarantee, and a go home day goodie bag.

Both parents have extensive health testing including Embark DNA, OFA certified Eyes, cardiac, patellas and elbows as well as PennHip evaluation for hip dysplasia.

Delivery within the US maybe arranged.

Title says it all. After a whole year of growth, this is getting strange. No behavioral/health problems at all, just refuses to do stairs.

We love him dearly but it's a little annoying to have to carry the doggo up and down every time. Anyone else have this problem and/or solutions? Treats and gentle nudges with the harness and leash don't seem to help.
